Ingredients:
1 cup ghee
½ cup oil
1 cup castor sugar
1 egg yolk
3 tbsp sojee (semolina)
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp ground elachi
ground almonds optional
2 tbsp fine coconut optional
½ cup chana flour
+/- 2 ½ cup flour
Method:
– Place oil and ghee in freezer until it solidifies. Not too hard.
– Beat with castor sugar.
– Add yolk and sojee.
– Add remaining dry ingredients. Make a soft dough.
– Roll into balls. Make cuts.
– Put a whole almond on top.
– Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown.
