Ingredients
1 cup ghee
¾ cup castor sugar
1 egg yolk
¼ tsp baking powder
pinch of Bicarbonate Soda
1 tsp ground elachi
Flour
Method
Cream ghee and castor sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolk and beat.
Mix in baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and elachi, add enough flour to make a soft dough.
Shape as for naan khatai. Bake in a hot oven for five minutes, then lower heat and continue baking until golden brown.
Cool on trays before removing.
