Remedies for stomach ulcers

The most common symptom of a stomach ulcer is a burning sensation or pain in the area between your chest and belly button. The pain can last for a few minutes to several hours, depending on the severity of the ulcer. Other symptoms include poor appetite, bloating, heartburn, indigestion, belching, nausea, vomiting and weight loss.

People of any age can get stomach ulcers and women are affected as frequently as men. It must be treated immediately or else the ulcer can get worse.

Fortunately, there are several natural remedies that you can easily use at home. Home remedies usually focus on strengthening and protecting the stomach lining against acids. Before using the home remedies though, consult a doctor to ensure long-term relief

Bananas contain antibacterial substance that help slow down the growth of ulcer in the stomach. Hence eat a banana every day after your breakfast.

Raw honey has natural healing properties that work wonders for treating stomach ulcer. Take a tablespoon of honey daily before your breakfast or have it any time of the day with food like wheat bread. This will help reduce stomach inflammation and keep away other stomach diseases.

Drinking raw cabbage juice is very effective for treating stomach ulcer. Consume fresh cabbage juice daily before your bedtime. This will help strengthen the stomach lining and heal the ulcer.

Coconut oil has been used widely as a natural ingredient for treating various disturbances in the stomach. It has anti-bacterial property that kills bacteria that cause ulcers

Spinach and carrot juice when combined with and cabbage juice mixed together is also useful in treating peptic ulcers Another effective stomach ulcer treatment is drinking sugarless cold milk, which helps reduce acid formation and thus provides relief from the burning sensation that one usually encounters in stomach ulcers.

 Vegetable juices are good for treating peptic ulcer. Carrot, cucumber, beetroot is considered to be good in burning stomach.
Almond milk is also having favorable effects on peptic ulcer. Milk prepared from blanched almonds in a mixture grinder is useful for treating peptic ulcer. It binds the excess acid into the stomach. This is one of the popular home remedies for peptic ulcers Try to avoid junk food and packaged food. They contain the preservatives that can make the condition very bad.

 Give up all carbonated water including cold drinks. Restrict taking hot beverages like coffee, tea and other squashes which are concentrated.

 
* Spicy and oily food is highly contraindicated in peptic ulcers.
