INGREDIENTS:
8 tablespoons butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2½ cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch salt
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
2/3 cup milk
METHOD:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating the mixture added. Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder. Add a little of the dry mixture and continue to add until all the mixture and milk are used. Beat the mixture well. Put into greased tin and bake in a hot oven.
