4 Cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
¼ cup butter, soft
1 egg beaten
1 pkt instant yeast
¼ cup warm water
+- 1 cup skim milk
Dipping:
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup pecan nuts, chopped
½ cup butter, melted
Method:
Place the flour, salt, sugar, butter, egg, yeast in a bowl.
Make a soft dough with the milk and water. Knead and leave to rise till double in bulk.
Punch down and make into about 18 rolls. Roll into finger shape rolls. Mix the sugar, cinnamon and nuts in a bowl.
Dip each roll in butter, then in the sugar mixture.
Place on a greased oven pan.
Leave to rise till double in size
Heat oven to 190 degrees
Bake for about 35 min
Brush with oil or butter.
