1/4 cup lemon juice
2tsp freshly ground garlic
2tsp red chilli powder
1tsp ground cumin (jeeru)
2tsp ground green chillies
3tsp tandoori spice powder
Some yellow and red food colouring
1/4 cup plain yoghurt
2 tb olive oil
*Marinate your chicken with the above spices, and let it marinate overnight.
*You can either grill the chicken in the oven with a bit of water or you can braai or bbq the chicken.
* If you want to bbq the chicken make a bit extra of the exact marinade (leave it separate), add a bit off butter.
* When bbqing the chicken boil the marinade which will now be your basting sauce. This will help keep the chicken moist as its been braai’d.
Serve with a crisp salad and yoghurt chutney which is just plain yoghurt, mixed with ground green chillies and a very little dolp of mint sauce.
