A Selection of easy scrumptious savouries (05.05.16)

 

GREEK TERAGON TRIANGLES

Pastry
3 cups flour
250g butter
Pinch of salt
250ml sour cream
Filling:
1kg cubed chicken
Salt
Arad
Jeero
Cook till done
Braise:
1 tblsp butter and 1 tblsp flour

Add to half cup milk:1/4cup steers garlic sauce, red chillies fine, white pepper. Lastly, add Nando wild herbs sauce and nandos peri peri,,,,,, add sauce to chicken and one cup grated cheese Roll out dough like round small purees fold like triangle and paste brush with egg sprinkle tal and rough red chilli/paprika and parsley, then bake αηd ηĴσƴ.

KHIMA PUREE
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
Salt
2 level tblsp ghee
Make stiff dough with milk and water

Method:
Make 9 balls. Roll out small rotis. Make like Samoosa pur . Smear ghee and sprinkle maziena. Make one big roti . Cut out squares. Put laai . Fill mince. Close and fry

CROISSANT PIES
Ingredients
125g butter
3 tablespoon castor sugar
1 cup sour milk
2 eggs
8 tsp baking powder
Flour as req +/- 3 cups or a little over flour.

Method

Beat sugar and butter. In a separate dish mix sourmilk, egg and baking powder beat with beater and while beating add egg and sugar. Let sour milk mixture foam a little then add to butter and sugar there after add cake flour as req. Dough should be fairly soft. Manageable to roll. Make 8 balls. Roll each ball round and cut 8 triangles from round. Put filling of your choice. Roll like croissant. Brush beaten egg. Sprinkle parsley, poppy seeds or tal and bake at 180 to 190 degree. 🙂 enjoy.

 

JALAPENO SAMOOSA FILLING
1 cup chicken fillet cubed
½ tsp salt
3 tblsp jalapeno sauce or any other jalapeno sauce that u prefer
3 tblsp crystal hot sauce
Garlic white pepper and green chillies to taste
1 tblsp butter
1tblsp lemon juice
2 cups finely grated cheddar cheese
1 egg beaten
Cornflake breadcrumbs
Samoosa purr

Method
Combine all the ingredients in a pot except cheese and cook until done. Allow to cool then add cheese and greens. Fill as u would fill a normal samoosa. Dip in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs
