3 cups gram flour
1½ teaspoon fine salt
1 heaped Tbsp. rice flour*
2 medium chopped onions
2 teaspoons ground garlic
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
1 tablespoon crushed dhana
3 teaspoons ground red chillies
Chopped dhania, lettuce & curry leaves sliced very fine if desired
1. Make sticky batter with 1¼ cup water by beating for 3 TO 5 minutes.
Add the raising agents and onion before frying. *Rice flour is optional.
2. Form into balls between fingers and put into deep, medium hot oil.
3. Fry until golden.
GLUTEN FREE SUITABLE
Makes approx. 50 bajias.
