Cream Custard (05.03.09)

 
8 cups boiling water
3 tsp ghas
1 ½ cup sugar
Red colouring
2 cups milk
3 Tbsp custard
Condensed milk to sweeten
2 cans guava
1 can nestle cream
Pistachios/nuts/cherries to decorate

Method:
Mix ghas with a little cold water to form a paste. Add the remaining water and bring to a boil above heat. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the colouring. Pour into a deep bowl and refrigerate until set. Meanwhile bring the milk to boil. Mix the custard powder with a little milk to form a smooth paste. Add to the milk stirring all the time until thick. Add condensed milk to sweeten. Pour over set ghas and now allow custard to set. puree guavas in blender or processor. strain and pour over set custard. Top with cream decorate with chopped pistachios nuts and cherries.
