Ingredients
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking powder
500g butter
*1 Tbsp vinegar
*1 ½ cups cold water
*1 egg yolk
Maizena mixture
1 cup maizena
1 tsp cream of tar tar
Method:
Beat together ingredients with asterisk.
Divide butter into six portions.
Sift flour, baking powder and cream of tar tar
Rub one piece butter in flour
Make dough with liquid
Divide dough in 6 rolls out into rotis.
Grate one portion each roti.
Then sprinkle maizena mix over butter
Cover with another roti and grate another portion of butter and sprinkle with maizena mix.
Continue in this manner completing with the last roti on top. Refrigerate for one hour.
Then roll into a large rectangle
Sprinkle maizena mix over and fold into thirds.
