1 kg beef or mutton cubes washed and drained
A few sprigs of fresh thyme
2 cups sliced carrots
4 to 5 medium potatoes quartered
2 onions finely sliced
2 tomatoes chopped
1 cup frozen peas
¼ cup ghee
1 tsp crushed green chillie
1 tsp crushed black pepper and a few whole black pepper corns
A few cloves cloves
Salt to taste
2 tsp ginger garlic masala
Dust the cubed meat in a little white flour and stir fry in a tblsp of oil until the cubes are well seared.
Remove from heat. Saute the sliced onions in the ghee until it changes colour. Add in the cubed meat, ginger garlic masala chillies spices and tomatoes and slow cook on a low heat until the meat is nearly soft and tender. Add in the thyme, potatoes, peas and carrots and ook until the potatoes are soft and a lush thick gravy is achieved. Garnish with fresh thyme and Robertsons mixed herbs and serve.
