1kg cake flour flour = 7 cups
¾ cup sugar
Pinch salt
2 tsp powered elachi
1 Tbsp powered cinnamon
2 tsp powered ginger
1 pkt instant dry yeast
1 beaten egg
¼ cup oil
1 ½ cup milk
1 ½ cup water, mixed
Syrup:
3 cups sugar
2 ½ cups water
1 tsp rose water
Method:
Combine all dry ingredients together, including the yeast. Make a well in the center of the dish. Place the egg and oil into the center. Heat the milk and water intil lukewarm then pour into the dish, adding just enough to form a soft dough. Knead well. Fry in deep oil, when cool – dip in warm syrup and sprinkle lightly with coconut .
