Remedies on onions,garlic

Onions.

Besides having a universal gastronomical appeal, onions is one of the earliest known food medicines, and was used for hundreds of years for colds and catarrhal disorders and to drive fermentation’s and impurities out of the system.

Effective as a poultice, applied to the chest for colds, congestion’s, and bronchitis and on the ear for ear infections.
The onion is described as an antiseptic, stimulant, diuretic and expectorant. If eaten raw at dinnertime, the onion ensures a good night’s sleep. For a bad cold and cough there exists nothing better than the consumption of well-boiled or fried onions.
Onions contain a large amount of sulphur and are especially good for the liver.

• To remove kidney stones: take onions as a salad along with your meal. The stones in the kidney will be broken down and will pass out in the urine.

• Onions makes an ideal cough mixture: squeeze the juice of 1 or 2 onions, mix with 2 tsps of honey, cover and let it stand for an hour. Drink 3 or 3 x a day.

• To lower blood sugar and reduce high blood pressure: eat onions as a salad, this will lower your sugar and high blood pressure.

• Onion packs on the chest have been used for years in bronchial inflammations

• Crushed onion paste applied on the head relieves a headache.

• For shock and giddiness, fresh crushed onions should be inhaled.

• Equal quantity of raw onion juice and honey; taken twice a day are effective for stomachache and indigestion.

• Onions are excellent for asthma sufferers.

• Equal quantities of onion juice mixed with warm mustard oil are good for arthritis and painful joints.

• A poultice of roasted and crushed onion applied on skin eruptions and boils help them to heal faster.

• To remove pimples, take the juice of an onion, add a tsp of honey and a pinch of salt to it. Mix together and apply on the face.
