Rusk recipe (05.12.13)

Beat together:

500g self raising Flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup all bran flakes
1 cup brown sugar


 Then add:

½  cup sunflower seeds
¼  cup coconut
½  cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp bran
2 tbsp sesame seeds

Mix all above in large bowl!

Then take:
250g butter melted
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg

•    Beat together and add to dry ingredients!
•    Make soft dough, leave little sticky.
•    Press into greased oven tray
•    ! Sprinkle flour when pressing down so dough does not stick to hands.
•    Bake at 160'c for 40-45min or until dry on top!
•    Slice carefully so that it doesn't break apart.
•    Use flat metal lifter to remove from tray, and lay flat in large oven tray! Bake for a further 2-3 hours on 100 or until crisp!

Variation: u can add muesli, and other nuts as well!!
