Sandwich Swiss roll (11.08.09)

 

1 loaf unsliced brown bread
Spread able butter
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato sliced
3 hard boiled eggs, shelled & sliced
2 cups grated cheese
Pkt cold meat
 
Slice bread length wise into 5 – 6 equal slices. Roll out. Remove crusts from top, bottom and sides of the loaf. Butter each slice, place the lettuce on the 1st quarter of each slice. Place the cheese on the 2nd quarter of each slice next to the lettuce, Then place the cold meat broken into pieces on the 3rd quarter. Thereafter, place the tomato slices on the 4th quarter together with the egg slices. Roll up tightly as you would do to a Swiss roll. Roll each Swiss roll in glad wrap and refrigerate overnight. Next day, cut into slices and serve.
