Sauce Steak 19.11.09

1 kg minute steak/fillet slices

5 ml (1 teaspoon) each of salt & pepper

25 ml (2 tablespoons) lemon juice

10 ml (2 teaspoons) fresh ground red chillies

10 ml (2 teaspoons) ground garlic

25 ml (2 tablespoons) ghee

250 ml (1 cup) fresh cream mix/beat

1 small tin tomato paste (mix into cream)

 

Method:

 

Wash and dry steak pieces well.

Mix chilles, garlic, salt, pepper and lemon juice together and coat the steak with this.

In a pot heat ghee and add the steak to it. Cook until almost done, adding a little water if necessary.

Once its its almost done, pour in beaten cream/tomato paste mixture and allow the steak to simmer on low (allow the sauce to thicken slightly). Serve with chips and vegetables.
