¾ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
385g Nestle Condensed Milk
2 tsp baking powder
4 cups flour
1 recipe biscuit dough ( recipe above)
(380g) Nestle Treat Caramel
½ tsp almond essence
½ cup ground almonds
Icing sugar for dusting
1. Preheat oven to 180 deg Celsius
2. Roll out the biscuit dough to a thickness of 1cm.
3. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
4. Place shapes on a greased baking tray.
5. Combine Nestle Treat, almond essence and ground almonds.
6. Place heaped teaspoons full of almond mixture in centre of each shape.
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes , until light golden brown.
8. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Cream butter and sugar very well. Add vanilla and beat in the Nestle Condensed Milk. Add baking powder and sifted flour gradually. If the dough is very stiff, do not add all the flour. Roll into balls the size of a walnut, place on a baking tray and flatten with a fork. Top with cherries or nuts. Bake for 10-12 minutes until light golden.
VARIATIONS
Choc-chip biscuits- add 150g chopped.
Nestle Easy melt chocolate to the basic dough mixture.
Add 100g chopped cherries and 50 g chopped nuts to the basic dough for chunky Cherry Cookies.
Roll out- Cut into shapes-spread egg white, sprinkle with nuts ( chopped)- dust with icing sugar.
