FILLING OF CHOICE CHICKEN OR STEAK
DOUGH
2 CUPS CAKE FLOUR
2 TSPS BAKING POWDER
1.2 TSP SALT
125g BUTTER
1 EGG
¼ CUP MILK
¼ CUP WATER
METHOD
1. SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS INTO A FOOD PROCESSOR.
2. ADD BUTTER AND FORM INTO CRUMBS
3. HEAT THE MILK AND WATER TOGETHER OVER A LOW HEAT, ADD THE EGG AND BEAT WELL.
4. MAKE DOUGH WITH THE MILK, WATER AND EGG MIXTURE.
5. DIVIDE DOUGH INTO 2 AND ROLL OUT THE FIRST HALF INTO A RECTANGLE SHAPE TO FIT INTO GREASED PYREX 26 X 22 cm DISH.
6. IN YOUR FILLING EITHER CHICKEN OR STEAK, ADD SOME MAYYONNAISE, MUSTARD SAUCE, CHILLI SAUCE OF CHOICE, TOMATO SAUCE , PICALILLI AND SOME CUT UP GHERKINS AND CUBED FRIED POTATOES THAT HAVE BEEN SPICED WITH SALT AND CHILLIE POWDER
7. SPREAD FILLNG ON BOTTOM HALF OF DOUGH.
8. THEREAFTER ROLL THE SECOND HALF OF DOUGH AND PLACE OVER FILLING.
9. BRUSH WITH EGG AND SPRINKLE TILL.
10. BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN 180c UNTIL PIE IS GOLDEN BROWN.
11. WHEN COLD CUT INTO SQUARES AND SERVE WITH CHUTNEY OF CHOICE.
