  • 1/4 cup – Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp- Oil
  • 1 tsp- Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda/Bicarbonate if Soda
  • 1 tsp- Salt
  • 1 tsp crushed Garlic

    For Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp- Butter (For VEGAN OPTION use olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp- Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp- Chopped green coriander

How to Make Gluten-free Garlic Naan at Home

  • Mix GF flour, yogurt, oil, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, garlic and salt in a bowl.
  • Add some water and knead a soft dough.
  • Apply oil, cover the dough. Leave it aside to rest for 2-3 hours.
  • Time to make garlic butter- 3 tbsp- butter, 1 tbsp garlic minced, 1 tbsp chopped green coriander. Mix well.
  • After 2-3 hours, make the naans.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and gently roll the dough ball to oval shape using a rolling pin. Make sure you do not make too thin nor thick.
  • Now you have an oval shaped naan. Brush some water on naan. This will help naan stick to the tawa/pan while cooking on the stove.
  • Time to cook this naan- Gently place naan on the hot tawa/pan.
  • Flip this naan after you see some bubbles getting formed.
  • Flip the tawa upside down and cook naan directly till it turns charcoal brown.
  • Brush the butter-garlic mixture on top.
  • Gently scrape the naan from the bottom and remove.
