Half Moon Savoury Recipe (14 June 2012)

INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING
1 kg chicken (washed and cubed)
1 onion chopped
1 tsp aromat
1 tbsp crushed garlic
2 tsp dhana jeeru
1 tbsp ginger garlic masala
Pinch of arad
Red chillies to taste
1 tsp whole jeeru

Cook everything together till dry. Add ½ a can cream style corn. Cook till dry. Add chopped dhania. When cool add 2 tbsp each of tomato sauce, mustard sauce and garlic sauce.  add ½ cup grated cheese (optional)

DOUGH
2 cups water
2 tblsps butter
¼ tsp salt
2 cups cake flour or more..

Place the water, butter and salt in a pot over heat and bring to the boil. Add flour and stir vigorously until it forms a smooth ball. emove from heat. Knead to smooth dough. oll dough out and cut into circle using a round cutter. Place a spoonful of filling onto one half side of circle, lift up and press edges together to seal, forming a half moon shape. ip moon pies in beaten egg and roll in crumbs.
It is now ready to freeze.
