STEAK KARAAI RECIPE
A SIMPLE. QUICK .BUT EXOTIC DISH
DELICIOUS AND PERFECT FOR ANY DAY
1 kg Fillet steak. Cut into cubes or slices
U can use rump, or another cut. But your cooking time will defer
Step 1
1 large onion sliced fine
2 tbsp. ghee
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp salt
1 cinnamon stick
3 elachie pods
1 clove
1 small piece of star anise. Few peppercorns
Fry till onion is light golden
Add.1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp. chili garlic paste
1 tsp crushed garlic
Braise for 2 minutes
Add in the steak
And toss well then add
2 tsp crushed red chilies
Half tsp chili powder or Kashmiri chili
1 tsp turmeric
Half tsp Dhana jeera powder
1 tsp curry powder. Packo..rajah..woolies etc.
2 sprigs curry leaves
Toss well and if u using fillet steak cook without the pot lid
If using a tougher cut ul need to burn out water and add more boiling water to cook meat till soft
Cook till water burns out
3 medium tomatoes. Peeled and chopped
Add to the steak
And cook on high to burn out the tomato water
Mixing gently to avoid scorching
Add half to 3 quarter cups of plain Yoghurt or mass/ sour milk
And simmer on low
Add 2 to 3 green chilies
A half tsp of garum masala
And some chopped dhania and mint
Serve with roti. puri or pita

BRINJOL RAWAYYA
A quick easy and delicious way to prepare brinjal. Wash and slit the brinjal. leave it in a bowl of saltwater
In a dish grate 2 large tomatoes
Chop 1 large onion
Chop 1 green chili
add few Curry leaves
1 tsp salt
1 tsp of lemon juice
1 tsp Chili powder or Packo curry masala
1 tsp Crushed red chili
Half tspTurmeric
Half tsp Dhana jeera powder
2 garlic grated.
Mix well.
Stuff the brinjal with the mixture. Heat 4 tbsp. oil in a pot. add in the brinjal. Cook. till water burns out. Let it fry for a while. Sprinkle some sugar. Enjoy with Khurie kitchree or hot roti. Optional add-in some tamarind paste or extract to give it a tangy taste
Blanket Pie
WITH SUNNYSIDE CLASSICS

2 cups sifted cake flour
1 level tsp salt
Half tsp sugar
3 tsp baking powder
Dash of herbs
3 tbsp. oil
2 tablespoons soft butter
Rub in method. Like bread crumbs  Bind dough with. Sour milk. Or yoghurt Or leftover dhai..or buttermilk. A nice soft dough. This is a versatile dough. Roll out and like a roti. Brush with egg
Filling of your choice
Steak. Chicken…tuna ..polony.or.potato
I used a saucy polonies filling
Place filling..cheese..sauces or chutney
Top with jalapenos..olives..or gherkins or pepper dews..or even add fried chips. Fold over gently . Shape like a crescent . Place on greased tray. Brush egg ..sprinkle seeds. Thill or poppy. Bake in pre heated oven 160 deg. Till golden..approx… 10 min
