Cashew nut chops

Ingredients
1 kilo Lamb Chops
1 large Onion chopped
Salt to taste
1 tblsp red masala
½ tblsp ginger masala
½ tblsp ground garlic
½ tsp arid
1 tblsp dhana jeeroo (dry)
2 cups tomatoes chopped
1 glass plain yoghurt (250ml)
½ cup cashew nut paste (process the nuts with water to make paste)

Method

  1. Heat a little ghee in pot.
  2. Add onions and sauté on medium heat till golden brown.
  3. Add salt, red masala, ginger masala, ground garlic, arid, dhana and allow to cook for a while till properly braised.
  4. Add the tomatoes and allow to cook through.
  5. Add cashew nut paste and stir fry until oil separates from the paste
  6. Finally stir in the yoghurt and simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Add lamb chops cover and cook till meat is cooked and curry thickens.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander
  9. Serve with Naan
