½ kg steak – cubed into medium pieces
4 cloves garlic – pounded
½ level dessertspoon rough salt
1 tsp pepper
Juice of ½ lemon
METHOD
Marinate steak with all the ingredients. Cook on medium heat until steak is tender and all the water is absorbed
SAUCE
3 dessertspoons butter, margarine or oil
2 onions fried and crushed
2 medium tomatoes – liquidized
1 tsp tomoto paste or puree
3 fresh green chillies pounded
2 fresh red chillies pounded
1 tsp pounded ginger
½ tsp turmeric – arad
1 dessertspoon fine dhania powder
1 dessertspoon jeera powder
Salt to taste
METHOD
Heat butter. Add all ingredients and stir mixture well. Allow to braise for a few seconds. Cook until a thick paste is formed. Add to steak. Let simmer for 5 minute and serve.
